19-year-old arrested in Windsor park stabbing

Windsor police say a suspect in a park stabbing has been charged.

It happened around 11:30 p.m. Saturday on Bruce Avenue and Wyandotte Street West.

Police found a 16-year-old boy with serious injuries at the scene. He was rushed to hospital.

Investigators have reported that an argument broke out between the victim and the suspect, who then proceeded to pull out a knife and stab the victim multiple times before leaving the scene.

A 19-year-old man was arrested Sunday afternoon. He is charged with aggravated assault and assault with a weapon.

The charges have not been proven in court.

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
