Body of Michigan man found in Lake St. Clair

Divers have found the body of a 28-year-old man who disappeared in Lake St. Clair over the weekend.

The Ontario Provincial Police say the man from St. Clair, Michigan, dove into the water from a pontoon boat on Saturday and never resurfaced.

The OPP Underwater Search and Recovery Unit, the Joint Rescue Coordination Centre, and the U.S. Coast Guard searched the lake where he was swimming after receiving a report about the possible drowning around 4 p.m. on Saturday.

OPP divers found his body around 8 p.m. on Sunday.

New military crosswalk in Sarnia to be unveiled

Two men arrested in Tashmoo Ave. standoff

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
