LaSalle Police clock teen driver 75 km/h over limit, parents in the back seat

An Ohio teen faces a stunt driving charge for going 175 km/h on Hwy. 401 on Monday morning.

LaSalle Police clocked the vehicle near Howard Avenue on the LaSalle-Windsor border around 10 a.m.

The teen's parents were in the back seat.

His license is suspended for the next month while his vehicle sits in an impound lot for two weeks.

Police are targetting aggressive driving like speeding and distracted driving on roads across the region.

"Slow down and pay attention," said a release from LaSalle Police Service. "We want nothing more than for everyone to get to where they're going safely. The fines, insurance costs, and everyone's safety are not worth the risk."
