Police make large drug seizure

The Windsor Police Drugs and Guns Enforcement Unit seized nearly $20,000 worth of illegal drugs during a recent investigation.

On Tuesday, investigators searched a west Windsor home with the help of the Emergency Services Unit and the Problem-Oriented Policing Unit.

When police arrived, a man tried to take off through the back door and was taken into custody.

Officers seized, 120 grams of crystal methamphetamine, 46.8 grams of fentanyl, and 15.1 grams of cocaine. The total street value of the drugs seized is around $19,210.

A stolen vehicle was also recovered on the scene.

A 39-year-old man was charged with possession for the purpose of trafficking, possession of stolen property, and breach of probation.

Two men arrested in Tashmoo Ave. standoff

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
