Shotguns seized from downtown apartment building

Two people are facing charges after Windsor police seized two loaded shotguns Thursday.

Police were called to an apartment building on Glengarry Avenue around 6 p.m.

After reviewing surveillance video that showed two men carrying the guns into the building, officers quickly began their search.

The two suspects were found and arrested. A sawed-off shotgun and a semi-automatic shotgun were found in two separate apartments.

A 33-year-old and a 28-year-old are both facing multiple weapon-related charges.

Two men arrested in Tashmoo Ave. standoff

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
