Impacted areas included Windsor, Amherstburg, Tecumseh, Kingsville, Belle River, Lakeshore, LaSalle, McGregor, Colchester, Harrow, Maidstone, Essex, and Cottam.
Severe thunderstorm warnings are issued when imminent or occurring thunderstorms are likely to produce large hail, damaging winds, or torrential rain.
Four Sarnia streets made the CAA's regional Worst Roads list this year. The only road outside of Sarnia to make the top five was Windsor's Riverside Drive East.
The city said road, water and sewer work is starting to get underway, marking another year of aggressive investment into infrastructure renewal.
