Between 6 p.m. Monday and 12:30 a.m. Tuesday, 6,200 people took the shuttle bus from Devonshire Mall to the fireworks downtown and back. That's a total of 110 trips on 27 buses.
Transit Windsor buses were free as of 6 p.m. that night. Overall, city service rose by 90 per cent.
Zehrs sponsored the shuttle bus again this year.
Four Sarnia streets made the CAA's regional Worst Roads list this year. The only road outside of Sarnia to make the top five was Windsor's Riverside Drive East.
The city said road, water and sewer work is starting to get underway, marking another year of aggressive investment into infrastructure renewal.
The all ages event, in support of Big Brothers Big Sisters Sarnia-Lambton, will go rain or shine.
