Suspicious fire on Ouellette Avenue

Windsor Fire and Rescue and the Windsor Police arson unit are investigating the cause of a suspicious fire at an apartment building on Ouellette Avenue.

The fire broke out just before 1 p.m. on Tuesday afternoon. Ouellette Avenue between Elliott Street and Erie Street was closed for a couple of hours as crews responded to the blaze.

There were no injuries reported and all occupants were able to return to their units.

The fire caused less than $5,000 in damages.

New military crosswalk in Sarnia to be unveiled

Two men arrested in Tashmoo Ave. standoff

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
