Two crashes on Hwy. 401 close lanes in Lakeshore

The Ontario Provincial Police is investigating a pair of crashes on Hwy. 401 that shut down the westbound lanes for hours.

The first crash, involving three vehicles, was just before 6 p.m. on Monday between Puce Road and Manning Road.

The second involved four vehicles just half an hour later.

Paramedics took one person from the second crash to the hospital as a precaution.

The westbound lanes reopened around 8 p.m.

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
