UPDATE: Police investigate west end shooting

Windsor police continue to search for a suspect wanted for a shooting in the city's west end.

Officers were called to Campbell Avenue between Taylor and Grove Avenue for reports of shots fired just before 8 p.m. Monday.

Investigators believe two men got into a fight which escalated when one man, who was armed with a rifle, shot the other person in the leg.

The suspect took off in a vehicle described as a white Honda Civic sedan.

The Nurse Police Team assisted the victim until EMS arrived and he was taken to the hospital. He sustained serious injuries.

Investigators with the Windsor Police Major Crimes Unit ask residents and business owners in the area to check their surveillance footage between 7 p.m. and 9 p.m. for possible evidence.

Two men arrested in Tashmoo Ave. standoff

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
