Kingsville's Young thrills at Unico Primo Junior Golf Tournament

Emily Young of Kingsville continued her success at the Unico Primo Junior Golf Tournament on Thursday by winning the Junior Girls Division.

She triumphed over fellow Kingsville resident Hannah Butzer and Ella Harris of Essex.

The win is her third of the season and follows her playoff victory for the Pickering Cup.

She heads to the University of Toledo in the fall.

In the Junior Division, Ben Buchner dominated with a round of 66, besting Bennett Brazier of Beach Grove and Essex's Noah Turner.

Vanessa Ardovini captured another win in the Collegiate Women's division with a score of 82. The University of Windsor student outperformed her Lancer teammates, Molly Harris and Kennedy Fremlin.

Kevin Teichroeb shot 70 to win the Collegiate Men's division. Nathan White putted 72 and Austin Brancaccio, 75.

This week's action was at the Rochester Place Golf Club and Resort in Lakeshore. The tour moves to Chatham next week, where golfers will compete at Willow Ridge and Maple City.

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
