88-year-old woman dies in Windsor crash

Windsor Police are looking for witnesses to a crash on Sunday that claimed the life of an 88-year-old woman.

Shortly after noon, a vehicle struck a hydro pole at the corner of Wyandotte Street East and Homedale Boulevard.

Paramedics rushed the woman to the hospital where she was pronounced dead.

The crash shut down the intersection for hours on Sunday so police could investigate.

Police ask anyone who saw the crash to contact them at 519-255-6700 ext. 4000, or Crime Stoppers at 519-258-8477.

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
