Two repeat offenders charged

Windsor police have arrested and charged two people for violating their bail conditions.

In June, a 40-year-old man was granted bail on multiple charges including possession of a loaded firearm, possession of a prohibited firearm, seven counts of possession of a firearm while prohibited, five counts of possession of a controlled substance for the purpose of trafficking, two counts of possession of property obtained by crime, and breach of a probation order. He was placed on house arrest and electronic monitoring.

The previous month, a 22-year-old was granted bail for charges including robbery, use of a stolen credit card, two counts of possession of property obtained by crime over $5,000, possession of property obtained by crime under $5,000, possession of a scheduled narcotic, fraud under $5,000 and theft under $5,000. She was placed on a curfew.

Bail compliance officers allegedly found both suspects to be breaching the conditions of their release orders.

This week, they were found and charged with breaching conditions of their release orders.

Two men arrested in Tashmoo Ave. standoff

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
