Impaired driving charges laid after Kingsville accident

An Amherstburg resident is facing impaired driving charges after a single vehicle crash in Kingsville Thursday night.

The Ontario Provincial Police were called to Road 6 West around 9 p.m. for a vehicle that drove into a ditch.

Investigators determined the driver had consumed alcohol, so officers took them back to the local detachment for further testing.

The 31-year-old was charged with operation while impaired with a blood alcohol concentration of 8- plus.

The charges have not been proven in court.
