Man charged with assault at Windsor bus stop

Windsor police say a 34-year-old man has been arrested in connection with a fight in May.

It happened on May 30 at a bus stop on Wyandotte Street East near Windsor Avenue. Police said two men, who did not know each other, began arguing. One man then struck the other in the head, breaking his jaw.

The victim left the bus stop and went to police headquarters to report the incident. Members of the Major Crimes Unit investigated and identified a suspect.

The man was arrested on Monday morning on Church Street near University Avenue West, and is charged with one count of assault causing bodily harm.

The charge has not been proven in court.
