Ouellette Car Cruise looking for registrants

If you're ready to rev your engine, show off your classic car or sit back and watch the cars go by, the Ouellette Car Cruise is coming up fast.

Those who register early for the Friday, August 9 event could win prizes.

The cruise promises to be bigger and better than ever, with a wide variety of classic cars, muscle cars, hot rods, and exotic vehicles.

Organizers plan to host food trucks, live music and vendor booths at Riverfront Festival Plaza.

Due to construction, there will be a change in the route. Vehicles can't turn left onto Pillette this year because of a water main project, so the cruise will follow a one-direction route, heading eastbound on Riverside Drive.

The cruise starts on Riverside Drive at Ouellette Avenue at 6 p.m. It heads east to Pillette Road and then south to Tecumseh Road East before heading west to Ouellette Avenue and downtown.
