Charges laid after impaired driving crash

A man is facing impaired driving charges after a two-vehicle collision in east Windsor early Tuesday morning.

Emergency services responded to the crash at Lauzon Line and Lauzon Road around 1:30 a.m. A pickup truck overturned, trapping its driver inside. Windsor Fire and Rescue Services extricated the driver.

The driver of the pickup truck, his two passengers, and the driver of the sedan were all taken to the hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.

Investigators said the pickup truck was northbound on Lauzon Road and collided with a sedan driving eastbound on Lauzon Line.

Officers determined the driver of the pickup was impaired by a drug.

The 40-year-old was arrested and charged.

Two men arrested in Tashmoo Ave. standoff

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
