Police investigate $300,000 theft from Amherstburg business

About $300,000 worth of copper wire and other property was stolen from an Amherstburg business recently, and Windsor Police hope the public can help.

Police were called to a business on Thomas Road on Monday to investigate a break-in.

The suspect or suspects entered the building, caused considerable damage to the property, and left with the copper wire and other equipment.

Investigators aren't sure when the theft happened, and police don't have a description of the suspects.

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
