LaSalle offers ways to beat the heat

As the temperature remains high this week, the Town of LaSalle has offered people ways to cool off.

A heat warning is still in effect for Windsor-Essex, and for those needing a way to beat the heat, the Town has offered a few ideas.

The LaSalle Outdoor Pool, located at 1200 Front Street, is open from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. daily for open swimming. Registration is recommended but not required.

The public splash pad at the Vollmer Culture and Recreation Complex is open daily from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m.

For those wanting to stay dry, the LaSalle Bill Varga branch of the Essex County Library, at the LaSalle Civic Centre, is open from 9 a.m. to 8 p.m. Monday through Thursday, and from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Friday and Saturday.

The Civic Centre Atrium is also available for those wanting a break from the heat.
