Serial dumpster arsonist sought by Windsor police

Windsor police's Arson Unit hopes someone can help identify a man suspected of having been involved in a series of dumpster fires.

In the early morning hours of Tuesday, August 6, Windsor firefighters responded to three separate dumpster fires in the south end.

Two of them were in the Howard Avenue and Charles Street area. The third was in the area of Ouellette Avenue near Eugenie Street.

Security camera images of a suspect have been released by police.

The suspect is described as a White male with a slender build. He was wearing a white T-shirt, black jeans, and black sandals.

Anyone with information on the person's identity or the fires should call Windsor police's Arson Unit at (519) 255-6700, ext. 4330. Anonymous tips may be submitted to Crime Stoppers at (519) 258-TIPS (8477).

Two men arrested in Tashmoo Ave. standoff

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
