Windsor police have taken over the investigation into two early Sunday morning fires.
A large contingent of firefighters arrived at the home on Pelissier Street between Shepherd Street West and Hanna Street West just after 4 a.m.
Although firefighters quickly extinguished the flames, the damage is still estimated to be as much as $250,000.
Fire Prevention Officer Mike Coste said there was damage to homes on either side of the house.
Fire officials listed the cause as undetermined.
A firefighter hurt their hand while fighting the flames and was treated on the scene.
At around 4:30 a.m. on Sunday, Amherstburg firefighters responded to a blaze on Cowan Court off Whelan Avenue.
When they arrived, the home was engulfed in flames, causing an estimated $1.6-million of damage.
No one was hurt in the Amherstburg fire.
The investigation of both fires has been turned over to the Windsor police's arson unit.
