Windsor police seek three in assault involving bear mace

Windsor police are asking the public for help in identifying three people connected to a violent altercation last week.

Officers were called on Wednesday, September 18, at around 5:30 p.m., to Tecumseh Road East and Gladstone Avenue for a report of a fight.

Police learned that two groups of people began arguing with each other. It escalated when three of the men threatened one victim, sprayed him with bear mace, and stabbed him in the arm.

A second victim was also sprayed with the substance. Both suffered non-life-threatening injuries.

The Major Crimes Unit obtained surveillance images of the three suspects and has asked residents to take a look.

The first is described as a White male, 18 to 20 years old, about 5' 9”, with a slender build. He was wearing a red shirt, red pants, white shoes, and a multi-coloured hat. He was riding a black scooter.

The second suspect is a White male, 18–20 years old, about 5' 9”, with a slender build. He was wearing a blue shirt and black tracksuit pants.

The third suspect is a White male, 18–20 years old, about 5'9” tall, with a slender build. He was wearing a black shirt, black jeans, and a black checkered head cap.

All three are wanted for assault with a weapon, administering a noxious substance with the intent to endanger life, and uttering death threats.
