Windsor-Essex home listings jump in September

Prospective home buyers found more options to choose from in Windsor-Essex in September.

The Windsor-Essex County Association of Realtors (WECAR) has released its September sales figures, showing a significant increase in new listings.

Last month, 1,187 properties hit the market for the first time, a 23.52 per cent increase from September 2023. In August, 1,020 new listings went live.

Year to date, market activity is up by 11.72 per cent.

Realtors closed the deal on 422 properties in September, up 8.48 per cent from last year. So far in 2024, sales have nearly leveled off compared to 2023, down 0.48 per cent.

The average home price in Windsor-Essex was up by 8.28 per cent over September 2023, from $535,376 to $579,290.
