Police seize over $30K in illicit drugs

Two young adults are facing charges after an investigation by the Windsor Police Drugs and Guns Enforcement Unit.

On October 2, police arrested a 22-year-old on suspicion of trafficking drugs. After searching their vehicle, police found 86 grams of cocaine, 41 grams of crack cocaine, 128 tablets of oxycodone, 87 tablets of Dilaudid, 4 tablets of K100 morphine, and $2,065 in Canadian currency.

Later in the day, police arrested another 22-year-old and found 79 grams of cocaine, 76 grams of crack cocaine, 192 tablets of oxycodone, 16 tablets of Dilaudid, and 2 tablets of hydromorphone in their vehicle.

The total value of drugs seized from the two vehicles was an estimated $32,252.

After the arrests, officers searched a home on McHugh Street. They found over $22,000 in cash.

The two suspects are facing multiple charges of possession for the purpose of trafficking.

Two men arrested in Tashmoo Ave. standoff

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
