One in hospital after crash in Leamington early Friday

A driver from Mississauga is charged with careless driving after a crash in Leamington early Friday morning.

The Ontario Provincial Police shut down County Road 37 between County Road 18 and Mersea Road 10 just after 5:30 a.m.

A pickup truck and a tractor trailer collided, and paramedics took the driver of the pickup to the hospital with non-life threatening injuries.

County Road 37 reopened just after 8 a.m.

The OPP is still investigating the collision.

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
