Lakeshore driver charged after traffic complaint

Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) have credited a concerned driver with the arrest of a suspected impaired driver.

Shortly after 2 p.m. on Monday, members of the Lakeshore detachment responded to a complaint about someone driving erratically on Oakwood Avenue.

Police found the vehicle and pulled it over. It was determined that the driver had allegedly been drinking, and he was arrested.

The 45-year-old Lakeshore man is charged with impaired driving and driving with excessive blood-alcohol concentration.

The charges have not been proven in court. The driver was released and will have a chance to respond to the counts in court on November 1.
