Leamington man charged with attempted murder

Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) have arrested a 91-year-old man in an alleged case of intimate partner violence.

Few details have been released, but officers from the Leamington detachment were called to a home shortly before 6:30 a.m. on Saturday.

The two people in the home were checked out in hospital for non-life threatening injuries. Police say they were known to each other.

The man has been charged with attempted murder, and was held pending a bail hearing.

The charge has not been proven in court.

Two men arrested in Tashmoo Ave. standoff

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
