One person arrested after police find stolen vehicle

A woman has been arrested after Windsor police recovered a stolen vehicle.

Police said they were called at 8:30 p.m. pm Wednesday to check on the wellbeing of a woman sitting in a vehicle near the intersection of Dougall Avenue and Tecumseh Road West.

When officers arrived on the scene they found a woman sitting in the driver's seat of a grey 2012 Infinity G37X, a vehicle reported stolen.

The 39-year-old woman was charged with possession of property obtained by crime exceeding $5,000.

The stolen vehicle has been returned to the owner.

Two men arrested in Tashmoo Ave. standoff

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
