Suspicious death on Highland Avenue under investigation

Windsor Police ask the public to stay away from Highland Avenue between Foch Avenue and Lens Avenue while they investigate the suspicious death of a 69-year-old man.

Police were called to the home around 7:30 a.m. on Friday to investigate a "trouble unknown" call. When they arrived, they found the victim inside the house.

Members of the Major Crimes Unit and Forensic Identification Unit will be on the scene while police officers canvass the neighbourhood for witnesses and information.

Police also ask nearby residents to check their security cameras and dashcams for evidence between 5:30 a.m. and 7:30 a.m.

Two men arrested in Tashmoo Ave. standoff

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
