OPP investigating after a car hit a house in Ruthven

The Ontario Provincial Police has charged a woman from Kawartha Lakes after a car hit a house in Ruthven.

Officers responded to the crash at the corner of Inman Side Road and North Talbot Road just after 6:30 a.m. on Monday.

The driver was the lone occupant in the vehicle at the time. She wasn't hurt, and no one in the home was injured. However, the house and the car sustained significant damage.

Police charged the driver with careless driving.

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
