Two crashes blamed on impaired driving

A Leamington man and a man from Tecumseh face impaired driving charges after separate crashes in Essex County.

The first was just before 7 p.m. on Sunday on Sherk Street near Pulford Road in Leamington.

A vehicle struck another car and a fence, but no one was hurt.

A 53-year-old man faces two counts of operation of a motor vehicle while impaired and dangerous operation of a motor vehicle.

The second crash was on Riverside Drive at Manning Road in Tecumseh just after midnight on Monday. Only one vehicle was involved.

In that incident, the OPP charged a 46-year-old Tecumseh man with two counts of operation of a motor vehicle while impaired.

Both men will appear in the Ontario Court of Justice on November 29.
