Suspect wanted in assault outside Windsor supermarket

Windsor police hope someone can recognize a man suspected in an assault outside a west-end business earlier this month.

Officers were called at around 7:30 p.m. on November 3rd, to a Crawford Avenue supermarket.

They learned that a man got into a confrontation with someone in the parking lot and struck the victim several times. He then drove off in a blue, four-door sedan similar to a Ford Fusion.

A security camera image of the suspect from inside the store was obtained.

He is described as an Asian male, between 25 and 35 years old, 5’ 10” tall, with a medium build and short straight black hair. At the time of the incident, he wore a puffy black coat, black pants with white or grey around the hips, black sandals, and black socks.

Anyone who can identify the suspect, or provide information on this incident, should call Windsor police's Major Crimes Unit at (519) 255-6700, ext. 4830. Anonymous tips may be submitted to Crime Stoppers at (519) 258-TIPS (8477).
