High levels of air pollution are possible this afternoon.

An AIR QUALITY WARNING is in place due to the possibility of deteriorating air quality. Hot and sunny conditions are expected to cause increasing ground-level ozone concentrations this afternoon. Moderate risk AQHI values are expected throughout the day with the potential of short-term high risk AQHI values in the afternoon.

When air pollution levels are high, everyone should limit time outdoors. Consider reducing or rescheduling outdoor sports, activities and events.

You may experience mild and common symptoms such as eye, nose and throat irritation, headaches or a mild cough. More serious but less common symptoms include wheezing, chest pains or severe cough. If you think you are having a medical emergency, seek immediate medical assistance.

People more likely to be impacted by outdoor air pollution, including people aged 65 and older, pregnant people, infants and young children, people with an existing illness or chronic health condition, and people who work outdoors, should reduce or reschedule strenuous activities outdoors and seek medical attention if experiencing symptoms.

Windsor police have asked the public for help as they continue to look into an incident that occurred last month.Few details have been released, but police say it happened on October 18 in the area of Wyandotte Street East and George Avenue.Sometime between 5 p.m. and 5:15 p.m., there was an unusual interaction between two vehicles. One vehicle is unidentified, and the other is a black sedan.Police have asked anyone who might have witnessed the incident to give them a call. Residents and business owners in the area are also being asked to check their security camera footage.Anyone with information should call Windsor police's Major Crimes Unit at (519) 255-6700, ext. 4830.
