UPDATE: Walker Road reopened, two dead after serious crash

A section of Walker Road in Windsor has reopened following a serious crash on Monday.

Emergency crews were called around 2:30 p.m. to Walker Road at Niagara Street.

Windsor Police confirmed Tuesday morning that two people died.

Walker Road was closed between Wyandotte Street East and Richmond Street, so officers could complete clean-up and investigative work.

The road was reopened shortly after 7:30 p.m. Monday.

Anyone who witnessed the crash and has not spoken with police is asked to give Windsor police a call at (519) 258-6111.

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
