County Transportation Plan goes to the public for comment

The County of Essex has been working on an update for its Transportation Plan to take the region into the next 30 years, and it needs your help.

It's holding a public meeting on Thursday at 5 p.m. at the Ciociaro Club to get public feedback and input on the plan and has launched an online survey.

At Thursday's meeting, a panel of experts will be available to offer their insight, including Alvaro Almunia, the project manager at R.J. Burnside and Associates, Executive Director of Bike Windsor Essex Lori Newton, and Justin Jones, who has worked with more than 100 municipalities over the past decade on expanding mobility options.

The event is free, but organizers ask those who plan to go to register in advance.
