High levels of air pollution are possible this afternoon.

An AIR QUALITY WARNING is in place due to the possibility of deteriorating air quality. Hot and sunny conditions are expected to cause increasing ground-level ozone concentrations this afternoon. Moderate risk AQHI values are expected throughout the day with the potential of short-term high risk AQHI values in the afternoon.

When air pollution levels are high, everyone should limit time outdoors. Consider reducing or rescheduling outdoor sports, activities and events.

You may experience mild and common symptoms such as eye, nose and throat irritation, headaches or a mild cough. More serious but less common symptoms include wheezing, chest pains or severe cough. If you think you are having a medical emergency, seek immediate medical assistance.

People more likely to be impacted by outdoor air pollution, including people aged 65 and older, pregnant people, infants and young children, people with an existing illness or chronic health condition, and people who work outdoors, should reduce or reschedule strenuous activities outdoors and seek medical attention if experiencing symptoms.

A 29-year-old man facing firearm charges was arrested just one month later for violating bail conditions by Windsor police.On October 27, Wayne Mackay was released on bail while facing seven charges, including possession of a dangerous and possession of a firearm in a motor vehicle. His release order included house arrest, electronic monitoring and a prohibition from driving because of his status as a suspended driver.An investigation was launched by the Bail Compliance Unit after receiving information MacKay was breaching his conditions.On Friday, police arrested him at the intersection of Assumption Street and Louis Avenue. Mackay now faces additional charges of failure to comply with a release order and driving while under suspension.
