Home sales still on the rise in Windsor-Essex

The housing market in Windsor-Essex remained strong in November.

The Windsor-Essex County Association of Realtors announced its monthly sales report on Tuesday, showing a rise in housing sales of 9.47 per cent compared to November 2023. November was the third straight month that year-to-year sales were up.

A total of 370 homes sold, compared to 338 one year ago.

Market activity increased in November, with 346 new listings compared to 809 in 2023.

For 2024 so far, sales are up 2.91 per cent, with a total of 4,806 properties sold compared to 4,670 through the first 11 months of the year.

The average price in November was $584,452, up from $529,538 for that month in 2023, up 10.37 per cent.

So far this year, prices have climbed 3.43 per cent.

Currently, there are 1,608 properties for sale across the region.

Two men arrested in Tashmoo Ave. standoff

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
