OPP arrest allegedly impaired driver at drive-thru

A Leamington man has a court date in Windsor later this month after the Ontario Provincial Police arrested a driver at a drive-thru.

Police were called to the restaurant drive-thru on Erie Street North in Leamington just before 6 p.m. on Monday after a driver fell asleep behind the wheel.

The 52-year-old man faces three charges, two for driving impaired and one for having cannabis readily available in the vehicle.

He'll appear before the Ontario Court of Justice in Windsor on December 12.

Two men arrested in Tashmoo Ave. standoff

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
