Man arrested for repeated bail violations

Windsor police say a 54-year-old man is in trouble again after alleged breaches of bail conditions.

The man had been facing drug trafficking charges, including possession of fentanyl with intent to sell, when he was granted bail.

Bail conditions that the man had to follow included house arrest and wearing an electronic monitor, but compliance officers soon learned that he had repeatedly violated them.

On Wednesday, officers from the Problem-Oriented Policing (POP) Unit arrested the man in the area of Bernard Road and Alice Street.

He is facing five counts of failure to comply with a release order.

The charges in this, and the previous case, have not been proven in court.
