Woman dies after vehicle crashes through south Windsor home

Windsor Police hope someone has information or video footage of a minivan crashing through a house in the south end, killing a woman.

Officers were called to the home on Riviera Drive near Labelle Street just before 3 p.m. on Sunday after the vehicle struck the front and exited through the back of the house.

Three people were home at the time. Paramedics rushed a 73-year-old woman to the hospital, but she later died of her injuries. A second person in the home suffered non-life-threatening injuries, along with a passenger in the minivan.

The driver wasn't hurt.

The incident shut down Riviera Drive for several hours while police investigated.

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
