Woman arrested for alleged bail violations

A 32-year-old woman faces additional charges after being picked up for alleged bail violations.

Windsor police said that the woman was charged in September 2023 for firearm and drug trafficking offences, and she was granted bail.

Police said that her release order included electronic monitoring and house arrest.

Bail compliance officers from the Offender Management Unit recently learned that the woman had breached her conditions several times.

On Friday, bail compliance officers and members of the Windsor police's Problem-Oriented Policing (POP) Unit re-arrested the woman in the area of Dougall Avenue and Hanna Street West.

She faces five additional charges of failure to comply with a release order.

The Offender Management Unit is a joint effort of Windsor and LaSalle police, managing high-risk individuals placed under house arrest, curfew, or electronic monitoring.
