Truck fire shuts down Manning Road overnight

An overnight truck fire on Manning Road in Tecumseh is under investigation by the Ontario Provincial Police.

The OPP were called to Manning Road between Baseline Road and Walls Road just before 10:30 p.m. on Tuesday after a transport truck caught fire.

The driver got out of the vehicle when he noticed the smoke.

No one was hurt but police shut down that section of Manning Road for several hours so crews could remove the truck.

Manning Road reopened around 5 a.m. on Wednesday.

Investigators don't think the fire is suspicious, but ask anyone with information to call the OPP at 1-888-310-1122 or Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-8477.
