Pedestrian dies in Windsor collision

One woman has died after she was struck by a vehicle Saturday afternoon.

The Windsor Police Service said officers were dispatched just after 1 p.m. to the intersection of Lauzon Parkway and Forest Glade Drive for a report of the collision.

Police said a vehicle driving eastbound on Forest Glade Drive struck a 43-year-old woman attempting to cross the street.

She was taken to hospital where she was pronounced deceased.

The driver of the vehicle did remain on the scene.

Police continue to investigate the collision. Anyone with information is asked to contact the Collison Reconstruction Unit at 519-945-9645 or Crime Stoppers at 519-258-8477.

Two men arrested in Tashmoo Ave. standoff

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
