Three arrested in recent drug bust

Windsor police seized nearly $40,000 in illegal drugs and arrested three people during a recent investigation.

On Friday, the Windsor Police Drugs and Guns Enforcement Unit searched a home on Glengarry Avenue.

Three people, a 34-year-old man, a 27-year-old man, and a 24-year-old woman, were arrested.

Police seized 122.5 grams of fentanyl, 15.4 grams of cocaine, 36.1 grams of crack cocaine, and 34.4 grams of crystal methamphetamine with an estimated value of $37,839.  Officers also seized a set of brass knuckles, four cell phones, four digital scales, packaging materials, and $3,340.

The three accused are each facing three charges of possession for the purpose of trafficking.

The 34-year-old is also charged with possession of a prohibited weapon, disobeying a lawful order, and failure to comply with a probation order.

The 27-year-old has also been charged with failure to comply with a release order.

Two men arrested in Tashmoo Ave. standoff

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
