Police investigate armed robbery

Windsor police are investigating an armed robbery at a South Windsor business Friday night.

Just after 9 p.m., a man entered a business on Grand Marais East near Elsmere Avenue. Officers learned he allegedly pointed a firearm at an employee and demanded money. The suspect was given an unknown amount of cash before firing one round in the direction of the victim and taking off.

No one was injured.

At the time of the incident, the suspect was wearing a black hoodie with a white Adidas graphic, black pants, black boots, black gloves, a black mask and had a black leather side bag.

Investigators are asking residents and businesses in the area to check their surveillance footage between 8 p.m. and 10 p.m. for any evidence.

Two men arrested in Tashmoo Ave. standoff

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
