Westbound 401 reopened after overnight truck fire

A section of the westbound Highway 401 has been reopened after a tractor-trailer fire Monday night.

Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) and crews from Lakeshore Fire were called shortly before 10:30 p.m. to the westbound lanes between Puce Road and Manning Road.

When they arrived, they found a tractor-trailer engulfed in flames.

The fire was soon put out, but the westbound lanes of the 401 between Puce and Manning Roads were closed for most of the night.

No one was injured.

The lanes were reopened at around 6:30 a.m.
