CBSA seizes semi-automatic weapon at Ambassador Bridge

For the second time in a week, border agents in Windsor and Detroit have announced penalties for transporting weapons over the border.

This time, it was the Canada Border Services Agency (CBSA) at the Ambassador Bridge.

Few details have been released, but agents found a semi-automatic rifle being brought into Canada by a traveler. The CBSA also uncovered four overcapacity magazines.

The weapon and magazines were seized. The traveler was fined, refused entry into Canada, and returned to the U.S.

This weapon seizure was announced after U.S. Customs and Border Protection agents at the Windsor-Detroit Tunnel confiscated $12,000 in undeclared cash and a weapon that two men had attempted to dispose of after being refused entry into Windsor.
