UPDATE: Early morning fire in Windsor deemed suspicious

Officials from Windsor Fire and Police have dug deeper into a Monday house fire.

Firefighters responded to a home on Pelissier Street between Shepherd Street West and Hanna Street West around 7:30 a.m.

Two residents and their four dogs were displaced by the fire, but there were no injuries.

Investigators were on scene for most of Monday, and determined that the fire was suspicious.

The damage estimate is at $75,000.

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
