Man charged with impaired driving in Windsor

Windsor police are charging a 35-year-old with impaired driving.

At 11 a.m. on Saturday, officers were called to Tecumseh Road East and Lauzon Road after getting reports of a possible impaired driver.

Witnesses told police a grey jeep was driving erratically and had struck several vehicles.

Officers found the jeep parked and spoke with the driver who was showing signs of impairment such as glassy eyes and slurred speech. Several bottles of alcohol were also seen inside the vehicle.

The man was arrested and has since been charged.

Two men arrested in Tashmoo Ave. standoff

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
