One suspect still at large after Windsor armed robbery

Three men have been arrested, and one is still at large, following an armed robbery in Windsor during the holiday season.

Officers were called to Lauzon Road near Riverside Drive East just before 11 p.m. on Saturday, December 28, 2024. They learned four men, one armed with a handgun, assaulted someone inside a home.

The men then stole from the victim before taking off. The victim was treated for non-life-threatening injuries.

Investigators issued warrants for the four suspects.

A 37-year-old man was arrested on Thursday in the area of Pillette Street and South National Street.

On Friday, a 38-year-old man was taken into custody at the Ontario Provincial Police's Essex County detachment.

A 36-year-old man turned himself in to Windsor police on Monday.

All three are charged with robbery and assault with a weapon. The charges have not been proven in court.

Police are still looking for 33-year-old Kyle Heywood, who is wanted for robbery, assault with a weapon, and breach of probation.

Two men arrested in Tashmoo Ave. standoff

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
